Below is a partial list of scholarships and grants available for aspiring college students. This list represents only a fraction of scholarship opportunities available!

Virginia Private Colleges and Universities

· Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant (VTAG) - http://www.schev.edu/docs/default-source/tuition-aid-section/financial-aid/tagapplication1617.pdf VTAG is a non need-based grant for Virginia residents attending a participating Virginia private college or university.

Virginia Public Colleges and Universities

· Virginia Guaranteed Assistance Program (VGAP) –https://www.schev.edu/index/tuition-aid/financialaid/state-student-aid/virginia-guaranteed-assistance-program Virginia Guaranteed Assistance Program is both a merit and need-based undergraduate grant program. Grant awards range from $400 to $5,000. The largest awards go to the neediest students. Awards are renewable for an additional three years.

Hint 1: Go for the scholarships that require extra steps (essay, recommendation) -- fewer people will apply for those!

Hint 2: Write one GREAT story essay that the reader can see, hear, and be in your shoes! Use that same essay for each application, modified to fit the prompt!
