Each school develops a school profile which gives colleges and universities an overview of their program. School profiles include a brief description of the school, its location, and its population; the courses offered, including the number of Honors and AP courses; its grading scale; statistics such as SAT/ACT or AP scores, and more. Admissions personnel use the school profile to measure a student's choices against a school's offerings. Students are not compared to other schools. Colleges admissions personnel ask "What has this student done with the opportunities he or she has been given?"
