We like to start teaching responsible calendar and time-management skills early, so this year each student will have an agenda that they will travel to and from home with in addtional to their Cub Folder. Students will learn how to plan and track major project and assessment dates, school events, and student holidays. We encourage you to view and talk to your child about their calendar regularly and add personal events, appointments, and extracurricular activities as well. We feel this gives students an authentic view of their life on paper and creates a visual representation of their reality.
This is also a behavior tracking tool. Your child's teacher will track minor behavior issues on this calendar either daily or weekly, so checking it regulary is essential to keeping a transparent line of communication between you and your child and between you and your child's teacher. Below is the Conduct Key that will be taped into your child's agenda so that you can easily track their behavior. If nothing is marked in their calendar, the teacher did not have any behavioral issues with your child that day.
