Little About Me!
My name is Max and this is my second year at Compass. I really enjoy being silly and i'm very grateful that Compass is a safe place to be myself. Recently, I have been into watercolor so when I heard about 30 for 30 I figured it would be a nice opportunity to be creative and help support a school I love.
The title for this painting is 'Guilt'. I did the background in watercolor and then did a quick sketch and glued that in the middle. For the words I cut each letter out individually from a newspaper. I did my best to have each word be the same font. This was a very fun painting to make.
This painting is titled 'angles'. It has this title because while I was painting I had no idea what it was gonna be until I looked at it from a different angle and it kinda looked like a person. It still needed more human features so I cut out an eye from a magazine. I wanted the painting to have a bit of an eerie feel to it so I only added one eye.
This painting does not deserve a title. I hate this so much. I cut out the lady and the words from a magazine to hide the mess behind it. I painted the words with a green tint. I never wanna look at it again.
Not much to say about this one. Just did some shapes.
I'm really proud of this one. It's title is 'How to apologize to the dark'. It's kind of a long title but I like it. I used watercolor to paint the background a kind orange ish color to match the random man pictures I found in a magazine, then I used a colored pencil to create the white outline of a person. I found the phrase in a children's book.
For this one I painted the background a pastel kind of rainbow and a brown blob which later became more defined when I used a pen and some crayons. I found the phrase in some book and glued that on. I don't really have much to say.
This is some painting I did based on some bug I saw. I hate it.
I did this with watercolor and crayons. I hate it.
This painting is based off some trees in my backyard.
This is a painting I did of my sister. It's okay. I used pen to make the feet. The feet look bad and it's a little bit awkwardly shaped but whatever I guess.
I painted the background pastel ish to match the girl's clothes I found in a magazine.
