A little bit about me!
I am a 14 year old 9th grader at Compass school and I enjoy doing art on smaller pieces of paper. I really like exploring other art forms even if I am not good at it. For some reason my best art work is when I did it at Compass. They have a great space to do art and I am able to use any materials I need.
The drawing of the orange below was done in colored pencils and a white marker to do the white stringy stuff. I didn't trace this piece of art work. My friends really like oranges.
This drawing is of a song I like called "Adam" by Alex G. It has words of the song in a drawing form. I used watercolor and then colored pencils. The more I look at this the more I don't like how it turned out. I hope to do better in the furture.
Theses teeth I did with watercolor and the evil eye was done in Pasca pens. Definitely not my best teeth water color. I did trace the teeth. This drawing really just makes me think and have questions about it myself.
The next drawing is the outside of a house. I just thought of a house that held many kids and how messy yet comforting it would be. It reminds me of my old childhood home.
This is a stool that I painted a ladybug on. I just didn't like the previous painting. My art teacher gave the suggestion of the light blue around the edges.
This painting/drawing is of school student explaining that "school kills artists" I definetly know when I was at my old public school I spent to much time doing work or caring what others though than doing any art. I defenilty know that some schools limit how creative a kids mind can grow to be. I really liike the watercolor rainbow on the outside showing that on the inside the students hands are tied.
I am very found of TV girl and I really Like the song "taking whats not yours" I did trace the hands but I Made the font myself.
This drawing is yet another TV girl reference song. "Cigarettes out the window" I didn't use a template or anything. I really enjoyed making this because it was just my imagination and I was able to think of how this struggling girl's bedroom could look like. Poor Liddy.
This is a water color painting of a vase with flowers but the flowers are eyes. I saw this idea on Pintrist and I thought it would be cool to make on my own. I used water color and pencils. It would be cool to have water color pencils. This definitely isn't my best painting but i thought it was an interesting one.
This is a drawing on an album cover I really like. It's done in pencils and it's not colored in, but its a bunch of little swirls. I really love doing spirals. I really love this! It was so time consuming.
This pen drawing of my town. I just did this from memory like there's something looking down at the town. I also did this drawing while in the car so is very not straight. I put the words "get out now" because I feel like there are a lot of movies stating that if you live in a small town you want to get out. Like a stereotype that if you don't leave when u finish high school, you never will.
After a failed water color attempt, I was honestly really questioning if I should do water color again after that, so to play it safe i did this drawing in colored pencil. I really like the top hand, i didn't trace this but i did use a reference of someone opening something. I really like the message this sends. Its not about anything particular yet could be used for various things.
This drawing is of a song called "cats in the cold" I saw a drawing someone did from a fish eye view and I figure if I was already going to do this drawing might as well try a new angle. I really liked how it turned out but I wish I did it on bigger paper so I could add more details. I used watercolor with pencils layered on top.
The collage below is something that i just did for fun. It was really silly going through a bunch of magiziens. I tried to chose things that involved people or the act of love and nostalgia.
I was pondering what to draw while lisening to music and a song came on called "Tire swing" and thats what encoreged me to draw things. The tree looked bland so I added a house and it still felt like it was missing so I added a person digging a grave. All of this was just my imaginatoin and I didnt look up any refrences.
this is a bleach shirt that I did (it is art so it counts) the front of it is a butterfly and the back is a song lyric that I spelled wrong and I will fix it. I used a reference but I did the font myself.
This is yet another bleach shirt i did. It's of a hammerhead shark and a great white shark swimming around each other and it happens to look like a heart. The back says "beautifully broken" I used a refrence for the shark and I made the font myself.
Another bleach shirt and its my worst. It was supposed to be a jellyfish but the bleach smudged or something so I went over it in fabric markers and now it just looks like a blob with squiggles. I want to try and make another jellyfish bleach shirt.
this is the grave water color incident that I mentioned previously. I traced a picture of a bloody mouth and then I started to do the watercolor. All was going well until I put my paper down leaning and the "blood" started to move up forward on the teeth, then I tried to stop it but ended up covering more of the bottom teeth. Then the color started to wash away. I should have been more patient and let it dry but I didn't. I'm going to do this again and be more patient.
