What is Love?
By Shay Negron
What is love if it's a lie?
What is love when love can die?
What is love if you cannot trust?
What is love when it can leave scars?
What is love if you forget, but not forgive?
What is love when it is not true?
What is love when it is not with you?
What is love when you pay a price?
What is love when it’s not forever?
The dark trees
by Noah Rodman
Grew up always confused.
As to why I had to obey the rules, of,
No forest.
No forest.
No forest in the day.
No forest at night.
No forest today.
It's not even safe at the edge of the forest by the bay.
Puzzled, is something there lurking in the forest?
It seems to always be irking my mother.
She seems overworked by my dad's disappearance.
It's been over a year since and I'm aware it's important but all she replies when I ask to go...
No forest.
No forest.
No forest in the day.
No forest at night, stay free of the bark’s disease.
Stay out of the dark trees.

Wow, look at this shot.
What, why are you in my house?
Be still for photo!

I hate doing homework
Homework is very boring and annoying
Don’t give homework, please
Spring is the best
Spring has sprung weather is great
Why can’t spring stay
We need better wether
Why cant it be nicer out
We need the sun
Don’t want to clean
I need to do the dishes
Help me do dishes
Flowers smell so great
Flowers are so pretty and beautiful
Let’s plant some flowers

Afraid of the past?
The past were days of memories
Memories are beautiful
Stuck in a rain forest
Tall trees are at every turn
Nothing but crickets chirp
Green fields stretched endlessly
Butterflies flying through the wind
Sounds of birds singing
Walking in the city
Lights and screens on every building
Honking heard everywhere
Miami
By Sam Eder
Oh, tropical Miami.
How I love your tropical touch.
As the trees flow in the tropical sun,
The waves crash into the bountiful fun.
Endless heat that’ll make you sleep.
Frizzy hair due to the heat, don’t care.
Car rides with the windows open to the magical heat.
Uncle and Niece
By: Samaira Vivek
Megan was very excited. Her Uncle Alex was coming over for a few days to stay with Megan and her mom. Megan looks out the window and sees that her uncle is here. She runs to get to the door and gives her uncle a big hug. Megan’s mom helps out with Uncle Alex’s bags.
The next day, Uncle Alex wakes up and makes pancakes for breakfast for Megan and her mom. He wants to hang out with Megan for an entire day. It would be good for them because they haven’t hung out together in a long time. After breakfast, Megan and her Uncle Alex got ready to head outside. Megan’s mom stayed inside to clean the house.
Uncle Alex and Megan both first walked outside to the park. It was very pretty. There were a lot of flowers, cherry blossoms, and full grown trees. They saw people sitting on the ground having picnics with their families. They also watched birds and butterflies fly around the park.
Next, they went out to a small diner for lunch. The food was delicious. While they were eating, they were chatting about other things, like Megan’s school, her friends, and what she does in her spare time. After lunch, Megan and Uncle Alex decided to go bike riding. So, they rented bikes and started to ride them. While they were riding their bikes, Megan tripped over a rock. She scraped her knee pretty badly.
Uncle Alex saw what happened and quickly got his first aid kit. All of a sudden, Megan decided to go home. At home, Megan walked to her room and cried. Tears streamed down her face. Uncle Alex came up and comforted her. He hugged her and told her that it’s going to be okay. Soon, Megan started to calm down slowly. She and her Uncle Alex both decided to go outside again and feel the fresh air. Finally, Megan and Uncle Alex stayed outside until it got dark. At night they decided to go out for dinner and then went back home. Uncle Alex and Megan both had a great time by spending the whole day together.
