Today started off by saying goodbye to our luggage for one day as it was being transported to the Prince hotel in Tokyo.
Kiyomizu-dera temple:
Before we even arrived at the temple the road to it was lined with a variety of different shops. While some people purchased souvenirs, others indulged in eating delicious food. After passing all the shops we were greeted by a large gate into the temple. Once we walked through we saw a beautiful view of Kyoto. Continuing to walk we could see the intricate architecture of the Buddhist temple. Although it was raining when we were at the temple, it was still very cool to see!
Nara Deer Park:
After lunch we took a long bus ride to the deer park. Here we saw a bunch of very friendly (but wet) deer. This was a magnificent sight to see as there were hundreds of deer interacting with people.
Todaiji-temple:
After, we went to Todaiji temple which sits just outside the deer park and is 1300 years old! This massive temple houses the largest buddha statue in Japan which is 50ft tall!
Kyoto station to Nagoya:
After taking a bus back to Kyoto we had some time to kill, so everyone was able to have some free time at the station. Then, after an hour we hopped on a bullet train and traveled to Nagoya to end the day.
