We started today off early, waking up before the sun rose, and traveled to Taipei Taoyuan airport. After saying goodbye to our two tour guides, Porkchop and Jim, we made our way past security to the gate, and boarded the plane that would take us to Osaka, Japan.
Upon arrival in Osaka, we traveled by tram to the main terminal, collected our luggage, went past immigration and customs, met our new tour guides, and got on the bus to go to Kyoto, where our hotel is.
After checking into the hotel, we had a chance to rest, and to get ready for dinner.
When dinner time arrived, we walked to the Kyoto station building and went to Kakiyasu Sanjaku Sanzunbashi, a buffet restaurant with foods ranging from Italian food to traditional Japanese fare. The food was very good, and was one of our favorite meals of the trip so far.
After dinner, we took a look around the Isetan department store inside of the station building. The store is made up of more than ten floors, and has options including clothes, stationary, cutlery, accessories, jewelry, and much more.
We then returned to the hotel to rest up before our Kimono ceremony early tomorrow morning.
