Usage Guidelines for AI Generative Tools at CU
The guidelines proposed here reflect the goal to support the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) generative tools in alignment with College Unbound's mission to reinvent the higher education experience for underserved adult learners, using a student-driven model of rigorous and engaged scholarship.
College Unbound is an advocate for learning wherever it happens. Students earn credit via Learning In Public (LIP) portfolios for robust prior learning. In addition, students learn how to frame and document their lived experiences to earn credit and satisfy the “Big 10” graduation requirements. These credit-bearing habits and practices help students become more effective leaders.
Ten individual portfolio credits you will earn at College Unbound are for demonstrating the skills and capacities needed to lead change: Accountability, Advocacy & Agency, Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, Critical Thinking, Equity & Justice, Lifelong Learning, Problem Solving, Resilience and Well Being.
Independent or Guided Portfolios LIP Portfolios are a way of achieving a specified result; a course of action. Students use a comprehensive template to help guide the experiential learning.
