Grading

Grading

Numerical grades are used to report students’ academic progress in grades 9 – 12.  The grade reporting scales are as follows:

College Prep/Honors/Dual Credit

A - 90 – 100

B - 80 -  89

C - 70 -  79

D - 60 -  69

F - Below 60

These categories are used for the creation of school honor rolls and determining certain awards.  The South Carolina Uniform Grading Scale is used to compute class rank and GPA.  The Clover High School Course Description Guide explains the scale in greater detail.

Grade reports* will be issued at the end of each nine-week period.  Report cards will be mailed to the parent/guardian at the end of the second semester.  Students will receive interim reports which describe progress in all subject areas.  These grade reports give parents an opportunity to call the school and arrange conferences with teachers.
