What is an eportfolio?
An eportfolio is an electronic folder containing collections of evidence of lifelong learning. Students are given the opportunity to showcase mastery of skills and achievements by taking ownership of their learning. Digital portfolios can be used as formative assessments to evaluate student learning over a period of time.
Serves as a Showcase: to display their accomplishments, academic projects andย creative works in one organized and easily accessible digital platform.ย
Digital Live Transcript: When applying to colleges or seeking scholarships, GT students can use their ePortfolios.
Serves as a Reflective Tool: Students can document their progress, set goals, and track their growth over time. Self-reflection can lead to deeper understanding and continued improvement.
Differentiation and Individualization: GT students often have unique learning needs and interests. An ePortfolio allows them to personalize their learning journey and explore areas of interests.
Collaborative Projects: ePortfolios can facilitate collaborative projects among GT students. They can share and discuss their work, provide feedback to peers, and engage in meaningful academic discussions.
Parent and Teacher Engagement: parents and teachers gain insights into the student's learning process. They can track progress, provide feedback, and offer support in achieving academic and personal goals.
