About Fundraising

How does fund-raising work at LNE?

The LNE Music Boosters will sponsor fund-raising events that give the students opportunities to earn income to help pay for music activities and supplies. When a student earns money through a music fund-raiser, the LNE Music Boosters will deposit that money into the "LNE Music School Activity Account" specifically marking it reserved for the student that earned those funds. All of the records for this are organized by the certified LNE Bookkeeper, Lischelle VanEngan. Lischelle will apply the earned fund-raiser money to any music fees they have or to their music trip if they are signed up to attend automatically. On each fund-raiser, the student will complete a sign-up form ahead of time where they will indicate what they want the money applied to (example: trip, costume fees, class contribution fees, etc.). This is how Lischelle will know how to apply their money. She will automatically put it into the student's synergy fees as a payment. The students/families will see this payment come through on their "Student Pay" records through their Synergy grade-book.

What happens if they do not use all of their earned fund-raiser money in one school year?

The earned student fund-raiser money carries over every year until they graduate. It just keeps adding up if they have no fees to use it for. At the end of their Senior year, the money can be passed down to a sibling if they have one already in LNE Music or one that is an immediate incoming Freshman. If they do not have a sibling to pass the money down to, then those funds are put back into the general LNE Music Activity Account and are used for department equipment that will go on to benefit upcoming students. Fund-raiser money cannot be refunded as it must apply to the LNE Music Department.
