Wind Band & Percussion:

This audition will count as a grade for ALL students in the spring for Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Percussion, and Honors Jazz placement. Read the instructions carefully:

1) Winds: Play a concert Bb major scale at ♩= 120 in eighth notes. Slur up, tongue down.

Percussion: Play a two octave concert Bb major scale on a mallet instrument at♩= 90 (minimum tempo - no maximum) in eighth notes.

2) Play the attached excerpt with a metronome at a reasonable speed per tempo marking. (You will have to look up the tempo marking)
