Pink Sheet (Absence Form)

If you will be absent from any required  music ensemble event, performance, competition, or after school rehearsal you need to fill out a pink sheet. Please make sure you are filling out the correct pink sheet form, instrumental or vocal.

Should I submit a pink sheet?

• Will you be absent/tardy from a pre-scheduled and required music activity?

• Does the activity you are attending in place of your ensemble activity take priority over your ensemble responsibilities? Ex: you are on Varsity Cheer and you have a conflict with Rocket Band. Varsity activities take priority over non varsity activities.

  • Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, Honors Jazz, VNH, and Concert Choir are all varsity activities.

• If both of your conflicts are varsity activities, have you talked with your guardians to decide which one would be more appropriate for you to miss? 

• Has your non music coach/director been informed you have a conflict with your required music responsibilities?

If you answer yes to ALL of these questions, you need to fill out a pink sheet. If you answer NO to any of these questions, you need to speak with a director before filling out a pink sheet.

Pink sheets need to be filled out 24 hours before your intended absence. Last minute pink sheets must have documentation. We want to know you are safe.
