Students learned about and discussed the impact Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. made on our country and the world. They then worked to create a top half self portrait and bottom half quote piece of artwork. Students chose a quote from Dr. King that stood out to them the most.

The background of the portrait displays the students' unique response to the questions: "What is important to you?" and "If you could change anything in our world and/ or community, what would it be?".
