Our development work continues in our playground and we have a range of activities on offer including:
· Trim trail
· Bats and balls/games area
· Music trolley
· Dress up area
· Dance area with music and ribbons/pom poms
· Den building
· Quiet games such as building, chess and cars
· Games shed – with parachute, skipping ropes and a range of other resources
· Loose parts play – construction
· Wheeled area
· Lava area (this is only open if a school adult is supervising)
Mrs Meighan has been working hard to create our new Fairy Garden.
Miss MacLean has been making plans for our new digging area but we have come to a halt as we are really needing someone to help lay some slabs for our new storage shed. Please get in touch if you would be able to help with this or know someone who would be able to help.
We would also welcome donations of the following:
· Old gardening tools for our digging area
· Dress up clothes including just old adult clothes
· Material
· Sports equipment e.g. balls, skipping ropes
· Loose parts e.g. milk/bottles crates, planks
· Pots/pans and kitchen utensils
· Recycling for creating musical instruments e.g. plastic sweetie boxes with lids, small tubs with lids
· Large tractor tyres (please contact Miss MacLean or Mrs Meighan about this first)
· Old picture frames – large or small (no glass)
Please encourage your child to bring a pair of wellies or boots to school, ensuring that they have inside footwear (shoes or trainers) as well. This will help us keep our classroom carpets as clean as possible. Additionally, it would be really helpful if pupils had a change of clothes in their school bags just in case they need a change.
Thank you for your support in developing outdoor play and learning in our playground.
