Introduction

We are an LGBT+ society who is open to LGBT+ members, allies and anyone wishing to learn more. We aim to support and educate staff and students within the college as well as provide a safe place to have open conversations. We promote equality and diversity!

Bringing LGBT+ people and supporters together under the umbrella of Pride in Plymouth and organising the Pride in Plymouth events.

A wide range of information, advice and support for 13-25 year olds, including support with housing, mental health, and sexual health.

An LGBT+ charity and advocacy organisation devoted to supporting LGBT+ communities in the South West area.

4 pm

Support and advice for transgender and non-binary peole in Plymouth, as well as their families, friends and allies.

A youth group providing a safe place for LGBT+ young people in and around Plymouth.

An unincorporated association celebrating the diversity of transgender, non-binary, interzex and gender variant individuals.

The LGBT+ society within Babcock International, offering a supportive place for LGBT+ individuals.

Proud2Be is a social enterprise that supports LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and/or questioning+) people and their families, in Devon and beyond, to lead empowered, fulfilled and authentic lives.

A closer look at the legal side of LGBT+ rights in the UK over the years, including information on Section 28.

2 pm

The Labour MP for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport and an active member of the LGBT+ community in Plymouth.

2.30pm

The co-chair of national LGBT+ labour discussing the history of human rights and ‘praying the gay away’ within the UK.

3 pm

A panel of leading drag queens in the South West discuss their own experiences and safety for LGBT+ individuals on nights out in Plymouth.
