We appreciate that working with children and young people carries responsibility that other volunteer positions in the church do not. As such we want to make sure you are equipped with what you need to know. We need you to be a good 'fit' for working with children for your sake as much as ours. If you're not sure and somehow you've landed in this site, please meet with your Kids or Youth Pastor first. If we both agree that you are to continue the pathway of becoming a Kids or Youth Team member, this is what you need to do.

1. Submit an Application Form

We have a separate Application Form for each Location. You'll find your Location's Application at the end in Appendix 1 - Applications. If you have not yet completed an Application Form, you're best to do so now before continuing. Once you've submitted it and you've had that initial chat with your Kids or Youth Pastor, feel free to return to this page and continue. 

2. Complete your Training (this site)

Begin your induction training by reading through this site then clicking on the Induction Training Quiz box below and answer the questions. 

3. Applying for a Blue Card

You'll need a Blue card if you are over 18 yrs of age:

• • If you have a current blue card - we need to get your approval to link your card to the Citipointe Organisation. You can click on the image below to take you to our Blue Card site or use this link to go to the exact page you want. 

  • If you do not have a current blue card and need to apply for one, please click on the image above and follow the directions. By law, if you are over 18 yrs of age, you are not allowed to start volunteering with children until you have received a positive notice.  

What happens next?

After you have:

• Sent in your Application 

• Completed this training 

• Received a positive blue card notice

You'll be ready to get started working with the kids. 

Meeting Attendance we'd love you to be part of

We ask all our staff and leaders to be involved in regular Team night - some are just for your Dept, some are for your Location and once or twice it's ALL LOCATIONS in. Whichever one you're at, we pray you find yourself welcomed and informed. (speak to your Leaders for dates of meetings).

Location Team Nights

All Citipointe leaders and volunteers meet for this location based meeting. The number of times per year varies per location.

Citipointe One Night

All Citipointe Leaders and Volunteers should attend the Corporate ONE Night which happens once a year at the Brisbane Location. This is an all locations training and culture-building event, hearing from Ps Mark and guest speakers.

Leadership Life Groups and Miscl Meetings

Your Citipointe Kids or Youth Pastors/Leaders will hold regular training events and meetings during the year which includes child safety and protection. They will make you aware of the location and dates of these important meetings when you come on team.
