Introduction
The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) was authorized to operate under BOT Resolution No. 170, Series of 2006. The Program started to run in the Academic Year 2006-2007 at CHMSC – Alijis Campus. Likewise, it was granted a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) through COPC No. 36 series of 2021, effective Academic Year 2021-2022. Moreover, it passed the AACCUP Level 2 Re-accreditation effective October 1, 2018- September 20, 2022.GOAL OF CCS
The College of Computer Studies aims to:1. Produce graduates appropriately skilled and responsive to the needs of the ever fast changing trends in information technology education.2. Develop creative innovators with the confidence and courage to seize and transform opportunities for the benefit of the society;3. Provide continuous specialized faculty training and professional development;4. Acquire, implement and utilize technologies to support for the instructional, administrative, research and development and extension needs;5. Provide students with all the resources to enrich their educational experience in order to pursue careers as ITE professionals in the industry, business and services; and6. Be acknowledged as one of the best SUC’s in the field of ITE in the region.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Graduates of this program shall be conferred the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT). The Bachelor of Science Information Technology Program includes the study of the utilization of both hardware and software technologies involving planning, installing, customizing,operating, managing and administering, and maintaining information technology infrastructure that provides computing solutions to address the needs of an organization. The program prepares graduates to address various user needs involving the selection, development, application, integration, and management of computing technologies within an organization. The BS Information Technology graduates are expected to become globally competent, innovative, and socially and ethically responsible computing professionals engaged in life-long learning endeavors. College shall be able to:
1. Competently apply knowledge of computing, science, and math by articulating and discussing the latest developments in the specific field of practice to address real-world problems.
2. Engaged IT Professionals in demonstrating and understanding of applied best practices and standards in solving computing problems.
3. Capability to analyze complex problems and demonstrate an understanding of the applicable solutions to computing problem requirements
4. Competently identify and analyze users’ needs and its uses in the development and administration of computer-based systems

A graphical presentation of the enrollment for the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology in the second semester showed that from 2018 to 2019 there were 133 male and 172 female enrollees; from 2019 to 2020 there were 141 male and 211 female enrollees, and from 2020 to 2021 there were 195 male and 219 female enrollees, and from 2021 to 2022 there were 215 male and 253 female enrollees.

A syllabus is a type of instructional tool that establishes expectations for what will occur throughout the entire course session. It specifies the subjects and ideas that will constitute the foundation of the final exam questions for the students. The functions and ideas that are used to assess student's performance are covered in a syllabus, which essentially acts as a contract between the students and the instructors.
The faculty for the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology developed their course syllabi prior to the start of the classes. To improve the content and determine whether it adhered to the CIMD's standard requirements, the Course Syllabi were reviewed. The course syllabi should be revised and updated since the BSIT program is vulnerable to possible changes in technology.
