Brain - Body Connection
This safety pin is the perfect example of how the brain communicates to the body and the body communicates to the brain.
The top of the safety pin is “The Brain” and the bottom of the safety pin is “The Body”. This could be the stomach, the kidneys, the legs, the arms, the cells within the body, etc.
The connection between the brain and the body is the nervous system. This includes the spinal cord and over 7 trillion nerves in our body! This is what carries the message to and from the brain.
When the safety pin is a closed circuit, the messages are traveling from the brain to the body and back to the brain with ease and there is a gentle flow of communication.
When the safety pin is open, the message can no longer travel with ease. The system is disrupted, and communication is not clear. Therefore, we notice dis-ease in the system, and we may start to see symptoms as the communication is no longer clear.
With chiropractic care, we look for these disruptions in communication and adjust them within the spine to improve the connection. When the connection is restored (the safety pin is closed), we find the communication becomes optimal again and the system is at ease.
