For each shift worked, you'll receive a meal credit to be used either on your break or before your shift begins. This amount is subject to change, depending on our monthly Positive Food Cost Gap, as explained in our employee handbook.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak, Allen has generaously allowed all team members not working a 6 hour shift to receive a free employee meal before the start of their scheduled shift. The procedure is followed the same as if you were receiving an employee meal during a schedueld break.
Team members are given 24/7 access to a licensed counselor. This chaplain is intended to guide team members through the challenges of daily life. Every conversation is confidential and up to the team member's discretion how much they would like to share. You can contact "Chaplain Michael" for Bartlett or "Chaplain Matt" for Austin Peay through Slack. There are also Corporate Chaplains of America flyers near the office at both stores with additional contact information. Chaplinacy conversations are 100% confidential and not reported to anyone in leadership, including the Operator.

For those who average 30+ hours per week, health insurance, dental, vision and several other benefit plans are available after a 60 day waiting period for team members. We use an online enrollment system called Ease. Leadership levels have a 0 day waiting period and coverage becomes effecive the first of the month following your 30 hr/week eligibility. Our plans are through United Health Care of Tennessee and you will receive an open enrollment email once you become eligible. An eligibility report is run every 30 days and if you have crossed the 30 hour threshold, you will receive an enrollment email. You can apply for insurance once you hit the 30 hour average threshold but you must wait 60 days for the coverage to become effective. During this waiting period and beyond, you must maintain your eligibility of 30 hrs/week, otherwise you will lose your coverage. if you miss your enrollment period after meeting eligibility requirements, our Open Enrollment period is February/March of each year and new coverage take effect in April.
if you think you are eligible for insurance coverage or would like to inquire about insurance coverage, please email 04023@chick-fil-a.com (Bartlett) or 04993@chick-fil-a.com (Austin Peay) and we will look up your eligibility and/or enrollment and show you your available options.
