Once we decide to hire someone we are still wanting to move as quickly as possible to get them started to work. We have a document that helps outline the next few days for them with everything they need to accomplish before they can start their first day of training.
If they are a minor, then we also provide them with a Parental Statement of Consent that we must have on file for the State of TN. If they are a homeschooled student and qualify for the WHO program, then we also request they provide us with a written work-release consent form from their Umbrella School institution or their parent.
We schedule an Orientation Meeting for all new Team Members once a week. All employees hired since the last Orientation Meeting (or did not attend) are required to attend this once only event. The main point is to get to know learn the organization of Chick-fil-A Shoppes at Bartlett and our culture. Our Objectives during this time are to:
Set the proper expectations
Introduce everyone
Give an idea of the training process
Go over scheduling and requests for time off and use of Hotschedules.
Tie up any loose ends with onboarding
Go over rules and guidelines.
