We offer Summer Internship Programs to high performing high school and college students. These internships can lead into Team Leader positions in both FOH and BOH capacities.
To always maintain the connection between the Operator’s vision and the Leadership’s execution, we have instituted voluntary, scheduled, and expected Mentoring Meeting available to all Assistant Directors, and Directors. These meetings are scheduled directly with Allen through a Calandy app that allows for individualize requests for mentoring. The Leader can discuss business plans, personal leadership growth, areas of improvement, or go over a section of a foundational bool in our restaurant called, Extreme Ownership: How Navy Seals Lead and Win by Jacko Willink and Leif Babin.
These meetings typically have assignments and due outs such as developing a personal “Leadership Philosophy" understanding and describing each leaders strengths and weaknesses based on questioning peers in the restaurant, compiling data, and creating a report for Allen.
Every other Wednesday we schedule 3 hours of administrative time for our High Performance Leadership Team (Directors, Asst Directors, Allen) to have a Director’s Meeting in the afternoon. The purpose of these meetings is to give a status report to Allen about each area of our business and to receive feedback or execution directives from Allen. The meetings are facilitated by the Director of Operations.
Meetings usually end with Allen giving specific information and directives about upcoming events.
Usually in November of each year we schedule an entire day of meeting off-site for the Director Team to gather with Allen and finalize our area of responsibilities upcoming yearly business plan. There is much preparation that goes into these meetings and all Directors and Assistant Directors are expected to arrive at about a 90% completion rate on their business plan. We use Smart Goals worksheets to guide Leaders in creating their business plans.
