Molly Schneider “Enchanted Forest”
22” by 16”, Oil pastels, Watercolor paint, Metal. 2017
8th Grade
I got the idea from an image on the internet.
First I drew the fairy on a piece of paper, then I taped it to a piece of metal and carved it in. I added black wash to the metal. Finally I did the background with oil pastels and watercolor paint. I think the audience should wonder where the fairy is and what is she thinking. If i could change anything i would redo the flowers with watercolor instead of oil pastels. I really like the way the grass turned out, it looks like real grass to me.
Molly Schneider “Dionysus”
8x10, photoshop, 2017
8th Grade
I wanted to do something with Dionysus because I had been doodling him in my spare time and I decided to it for my project. I drew it on paper first and then downloaded it into photoshop. It took a long time to color in but it was worth it. I would change the detail if i could start over. I would want more detailed details. I really like his hair and the way his body came out. I don't usually draw people sitting down and I was happy with the end result.
Molly Schneider “Magic To Do”
7X9X5 Earthenware Clay and Glass,2017
8th Grade
I wanted to do something Pippin because I am doing that show right now and I want to give it to my director. I used the method slab for this pot. I think the audience should know that The wording on the front is a Quote from the show. I would change the way the wording looked if i could do it again. I really like the contrast with the red and purple with the yellow.
