Learning experience of my second semester at UFSM
Last challenge:
Hello, my name is Maristela. This semester we learned a lot about digital technologies. I confess that I don't know many of those who were presented in the classroom. But, in this moment of a pandemic that we are in, remote teaching contributed a lot to my knowledge.
The new digital tools that were presented by the teacher and also by colleagues during classes helped me in learning, today it is part of my study routine.
Often the slow connection, "dropping" and the audio failing, affected my learning, because these little difficulties happen, and they are what make everything more exciting, don't you think? Because if they didn't exist, we wouldn't have stories to tell.
I am very grateful for the teachings of Professor Suzi and my colleagues, who often helped me when I was “a little lost”. This class is wonderful!
Oh! As for the teaching practices to be applied. As Henry Jenkins and his coauthors (2009, p. 29) observed: “Before students to engage with the new participatory culture, they must be able to read and write'.
Traditional literacy skills can be trained better online than offline. Students can annotate e-books using the Kindle or other digital reader features, they can annotate online articles, using web services like Diigo (www.diigo.com) or apps like GoodReader (www.goodreader.net/goodreader.html), and they can share and discuss their notes. It is essential that students acquire the ability to properly use and interpret digital resources. The technological age is already more than consolidated, leading us to depend on these resources for various daily activities. It is also important to create a critical sense in students, which is compatible with the school's mission to form conscientious citizens. A collective project possible with the use of technology is the creation of websites or blogs, managed by students and/or teachers, in which relevant content for the school community can be shared, such as texts, videos, news and didactic activities, as seen in this semester.
This educational strategy will allow students to be in tune with the new reality that presents itself in this digital world.( Research and Resources in Language Teaching, Digital Literacies), Worked this semester.
Thanks !
