Sophomore English

Course Description

Sophomore English is intended to develop skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening; students will read a varety of genres including short story, novel, poetry, drama and nonfiction.  Students will utilize reading strategies to improve comprehension at literal, interpretive, and applied levels.  Included will be analytical writing, persuasive research composition, persuasive speaking, and writing process strategies.
