Course Description
Senior Literature focuses on the study of various periods of literature within the British Canon. Each student will engage in the close reading and discussion of various works within at least three periods, including assigned works of poetry, drama, prose, and supporting informational texts. Authors may include, but are not limited to William Shakespeare, Geoffrey Chaucer, William Wordsworth, John Keats, George Orwell and T.S. Eliot. The ultimate goal for Senior Literature is for students to understand, interpret, and apply literature at personal and academic levels.
