BFI is the battalion formal inspection. We have it twice a year unless if it is a J.P.A. inspection. If your company is the overall best at marching in BFI, you will receive a best company BFI streamer. BFI is a review of the battalion to make sure that the battalion is upholding standards.
JPA is the JROTC Program for Accreditation. We have it once every three years. It is an inspection to ensure the Battalion meets all required standards. The Battalion is evaluated on leadership, training, and overall performance. Companies that perform well may receive special recognition. JPA helps maintain the quality of the JROTC program. If we do amazingly, we get a gold star, which helps AI/SAI recommend our cadets to academies!
