Community Natural Resources Governance: How to Know What You Don’t

Hosts: David Wilkie, Caitlin Doughty, Elizabeth O’Neill, Sheila O’Connor

Date: October 18

Time: 2:00PM - 4:30PM

Abstract: Even the simplest theory of change suggests that dozens of critical enabling factors must be in place to achieve effective Community Natural Resources Governance (CNRG). How do you decide where to begin, what you know, what you don’t know and, as a Community Support Partner (CSP), your best role? This session, a result of a multi-organization Science for Nature and People Partnership (SNAPP) working group, will share tried and proven useful resources for CSPs and communities working on CNRG, including a new web site and resource library, a theory of change, enabling factors diagnostics, and a primer. Join us to explore, learn to use, and provide feedback on these exciting new resources!
