Abstract: This session will begin with a general overview of the definitions and use of evidence in conservation practice. We will draw on concepts presented in the recently published paper A Practical Approach to Assessing Existing Evidence for Specific Conservation Strategies and present examples of projects applying these ideas. Finally, we will share some tools and systems that help teams incorporate evidence. Throughout the session, we encourage participants to ask questions, engage in discussion, and share their own examples of bringing evidence into conservation work.
