Alternative Methods of Credentialing (AMOC) is an Illinois program that provides eligible individuals another pathway to earn a State of Illinois High School Diploma without taking the GED® exams.
Rather than starting over, AMOC recognizes the high school coursework you've already completed. If you meet the state's eligibility requirements, your previous academic work may count toward earning your diploma.

You may qualify if you:
✔ Are at least 18½ years old
✔ Attended an accredited public or private high school
✔ Completed a significant portion of your high school coursework
✔ Meet the Illinois Constitution requirement
✔ Earn a minimum NRS Level 5 on an approved Illinois reading assessment
✔ Submit the required documentation
