Before the match begins, the 1st Referee is responsible for checking the court and equipment.
During the match, the 1st referee stands opposite the scorer and makes the calls on faults and scoring.
Once a decision has been made, no player or referee can argue the call.
The 1st referee can also issue sanctions and warnings to the players.
The scorers stand at the post opposite the first referee and are responsible for recording scores, time outs and substitutions.
They should also act in the place of a 2nd referee and judge whether the ball is in/out on the sideline they are standing on.
