The Āryabhaṭa Ganit Challenge (AGC) is a mathematics assessment competition for students of class VIII-X in CBSE affiliated schools. The challenge will be conducted at two levels:
Level 1: School Level Competition. This will be conducted by the school. A question paper will be provided by CBSE through its portal. Schools will download the question paper and conduct the examination.
Level 2: National Level Competition. This will be conducted by CBSE as a computer-based test. Only the top three students from each school in the Level 1 competition will be eligible to participate in the Level 2 competition.
The areas of assessment for the AGC are:
Number sense and Number System
Algebra
Mensuration
Geometry and Spatial Sense
Data Analysis and Probability
Quantitative Aptitude
Conceptual Understanding
Logical Reasoning and Analytical thinking
Problem Solving skills
Strategic approach
Visualisation and Mathematisation
Creative and Abstract thinking
The test will be of one hour with Multiple Choice Questions only. The total weightage of the test will be 40 marks and there will be no negative marking.
The AGC is a great opportunity for you to test your mathematical skills and compete with other students from across the country. It is also a great way to learn new mathematical concepts and improve your problem-solving skills.
If you are interested in participating in the AGC, please ask your school to register for the competition. The registration deadline is 25th August 2023.
Announcement for Competition Incharge
The Āryabhaṭa Ganit Challenge (AGC) is a mathematics assessment competition for students of class VIII-X in CBSE affiliated schools. The challenge will be conducted at two levels:

The following are the responsibilities of the AGC competition in charge MR.RAJAN NARANG AND THE EVERY MATH'S TEACHER OF THE GRADE LEVEL
To register the school for the AGC.
To download the question paper for the Level 1 competition from the CBSE portal.
To conduct the Level 1 competition in the school.
To identify the top three students from the school for the Level 2 competition.
To register the names of the top three students for the Level 2 competition.
Process of conduct of test and Selection: The test shall be conducted in two stages: 1
. First stage: i. An affiliated school can apply through the link on or before 24th August 2024 till 5:30 p.m.
No fees shall be charged for the first stage. The link is –

ii. During the period from 27th August to 04th September, 2024, a question paper will be made available to the registered schools with answer key through the portal. iii. The registered schools will conduct the test by using the question paper to identify top three students. In case more than three students score same marks at the top level, a suitable screening test may be conducted by the schools at their own level to identify the top three students. iv. Schools shall register the names of these top three students by paying online fee of Rs.900/- during 16th September, 2024 to 22nd September, 2024.
