A.V. Public School, Fazilka invites students of Grades III to XII to participate in CBSE Veer Gatha 6.0, launched by the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with the Ministry of Education for the academic year 2026–27.

Project Veer Gatha aims to familiarise students with the acts of bravery and inspiring life stories of Gallantry Awardees and to nurture patriotism and civic consciousness among students.

🎯 Categories & Activities

Category 1 – Preparatory Stage | Grades III–V
Poem/Paragraph (150 words), Painting or Drawing.

Category 2 – Middle Stage | Grades VI–VIII
Poem/Paragraph (300 words), Painting, Drawing, Multimedia Presentation or Short Video.

Category 3 – Secondary Stage | Grades IX–XII
Poem/Essay (750 words), Painting, Drawing, Multimedia Presentation or Short Video.

📅 Important Dates

Till 04 October 2026: School-level activities and evaluation.

05–19 October 2026: Uploading of selected entries on the MyGov Portal.

For schools offering Grades III–XII, the submission structure provides four entries: one each from Grades III–V and VI–VIII, and separate entries from Grades IX–X and XI–XII.

🏆 Recognition

At the national level, 100 students will be selected as Super 100: 25 from Grades III–V, 25 from Grades VI–VIII, 25 from Grades IX–X and 25 from Grades XI–XII. Each national-level winner will receive a ₹10,000 cash prize from the Ministry of Defence.
Students are encouraged to participate enthusiastically and use their creativity to honour the courage and sacrifice of India's brave hearts. 🇮🇳

Dear Students,

*Grade -3 to  12*

CBSE invites you to participate in **Veergatha 5.0** – a national level project to honor stories of **bravery, gallantry and patriotism**. This is your chance to express creativity through writing, poetry, or painting.

✨ **Activities & Suggestive Topics (Grade-wise)**

**Grades 3 – 5**

• Activities: Poem (up to 150 words) / Paragraph (up to 150 words) / Painting

• Suggestive Topics:

 * Gallantry Award winner’s life story (inspirational act of bravery).

 * Your own idea of bravery in everyday life.

**Grades 6 – 8**

• Activities: Essay (up to 500 words) / Poem (up to 150 words) / Painting

• Suggestive Topics:

 * Gallantry Award winner’s brave act that inspired you.

 * Bravery in your surroundings or real-life events you have witnessed.

**Grades 9 – 10**

• Activities: Essay (up to 1,000 words) / Poem (up to 150 words) / Painting

• Suggestive Topics:

 * Gallantry Award winner’s bravery in war/anti-terrorism/peacekeeping missions.

 * Acts of bravery from community, social, or rescue missions.

**Grades 11 – 12**

• Activities: Essay (up to 1,500 words) / Poem (up to 150 words) / Painting

• Suggestive Topics:

 * The indomitable spirit and contribution of Gallantry Award winners.

 * Bravery in national security, natural disasters, or critical missions.

Project Veer Gatha was instituted under Gallantry Awards Portal (GAP) in 2021 with the aim to disseminate the details of acts of bravery of the Gallantry Awardees and the life stories of these brave hearts among the students so as to raise the spirit of patriotism and instill amongst them values of civic consciousness.
