Hello Kindergarten Families
We are so excited to be working with y'all for the rest of the year to keep you moving and healthy.
Each week we will put up some activities and a health related lesson for you to do with your kindergartner. You can do these everyday or as often as you want. Kindergartners need to be moving for at least 60 minutes a day. That may sound like a lot but kids don't have to move for 60 minutes in a row. You can spread activity throughout the day.
Each week you will find:
A Warm Up
Activities
A Monthly Calendar of ideas to get moving
A Health Lesson
You can find all the Kindergarten PE lessons here. Each week, we will add a new lesson.

Play this video for your child and ask them to look for reasons why germs make us sick and how germs are spread.
We are going to learn an important lesson in not spreading germs by not sharing personal items that might spread germs today.
After today’s lesson, you will be able to identify items that should not be shared with friends and explain why it is not safe to share these items with others.
Explain to your child why it is very important for them to not share personal items such as brushes, combs, toothbrushes, bath towels, earphones, drinks. Make sure to explain to your child that sharing is normally a good thing to do but when it comes to personal cleanliness and hygiene, sharing can make them sick.
Sharing is Not Always Caring!
Toothbrush
Bath towels
Combs and brushes
Chapstick/ Iip balm
Nail clippers and fingernail files
Drinks
Earphones
Earings
All of these items have been in contact with areas of our body that germs typically live (mouth, nails, ears, etc.). We can prevent passing germs to others by keeping food and personal items personal and not sharing with others.
