Seesaw for Schools provides students the ability and tools to explain their thought process and reflect on their learning while allowing for integration with other teaching-related materials (extended/virtual classroom). Seesaw can also support and encourage connections within the classroom and beyond.
Basic Training
If you are new to Seesaw or want a refresher, here are five quick videos to get you started.
We also recommend going through the 101 slide deck.
Seesaw for Schools is to be used by K-5 teachers as a direct replacement for Google Classroom, or to be used in tandem with Google Classroom.
After individual teachers complete Seesaw 101 and 201 (training below), the district supports Seesaw to be used in grades K-2 as the primary tool. Trained teachers may also use Seesaw to supplement Google Classroom in grades 3-5.
We invite all elementary teachers to familiarize themselves with Seesaw via the training below, then to work with both their principal and grade-level teams to determine the best use of the tool moving forward.
Clever
We will be using Seesaw with Clever. Your students will be able to use their QR badge to easily get into your Seesaw class.

If you are a specialist or do not have a rostered class, you will need to follow these directions to add students to your class.
This session is designed for teachers who have taken Seesaw 101 or who are familiar with the Seesaw basics including how to post to the journal and assign activities.
Objective
Train teachers how to use Seesaw activities to create transformational learning experiences that support engagement, agency, and reflection for all students.
