This is a continuation of my building the building project. If you haven't seen that yet, go check it out! Here, I'll use a combination of the two skillsets to build out an inhabitable city.
For the second half of the project I wanted a towering skyscraper to give a greater sense of scale in the surrounding environment.
For the color palette, I was aiming for a randomly patterned modern look and feel to the exterior portion of the building. Something with cooler tones that allow the materials to speak for themselves.

To be able to toggle between high-rise skyscrapers and more residential buildings, I knew I would need a Boolean and to include some HIGH numbers on the Z Axis. So, that's just what I did.
The smaller residential buildings we're straightforward and by adding variables, allowed me to give the end user full control (sort of) on how they wanted the building to look and feel. Here, you'll see the user has the ability to edit the buildings Length, Width, Height and even the amount of conjoined building to it's sides.
For additional variety I wanted to add different materials to the outside of the building. To do this, I worked within a construction script that contained my main walls. I then applied a Set Materials and combined it with an array node. This allowed me to apply however many materials I would have liked to the outside of the tower and have them randomize for every Compile or adjustment.
Considering that most of the heavy-lifting code was done in the building PCG, there's only minimal to show here!
My computer crashed a handful of times while creating this city so I guess there's a bit of optimization that needs to be done on my end but I'm still figuring things out for now. I think the end results looks decent and I could see it being used for many things!
