Serving the Local Community
Our leadership program organizes a number of community and educational activities throughout the year and to benefit the neighborhood. Some examples are Fall Fest, BUC tailgate, and several donations that we have held are a few of our major events. First off, from 6 to 8 PM, the public is invited to Fall Fest. Fall fest is all about creating a fun environment which has fun activities and a very special annual haunted house with the theme of STRANGER THINGS! All in all, it's a fantastic event that we all enjoy organizing and our community adores attending. Next, I want to talk to you about our BUC tailgate. Our football team made history this year as they advanced to the CIF championship game. Despite the fact that we lost, we contributed to a pre- and post-game gathering. The previous event was a tailgate with free food and beverages, which attracted a huge crowd. After the game, we had a ceremony to recognize all of the fall sports and organizations, not just our football team, but all fall sports. As they walked down the middle, we spread out our red carpet and applauded them all and listed their accomplishments. Finally, one thing that we constantly try to think about on our campus is how blessed we are to have specific opportunities and items to us on campus. We try to motivate our students to help us give back to the community. They areĀ very generous every year and helped us raise over 1,000 dollars to the city of Bellflower. Another big donation that we have hosted has been our sock and canned food drive. These drives not only help our city of Bellflower, but they help our neighboring cities. Our Bellflower students and ASB students constantly try to help our community to the best of our abilities and we are happy to be a Bellflower BUC! Everyone on campus constantly shows BUC Pride all day everyday!
