Happy New Year!
Buckeye Junior High staff are thrilled to greet your in person child on campus tomorrow and your VLA student online! We are looking forward to a great second semester!
A big thank you to PTO for organizing a Fill the Fridge event for our teachers before break! We all appreciate each of your efforts to keep us well nourished and socially distant!
VLA STUDENTS RETURNING TO THE BUILDING
JANUARY 4 SCHEDULE
Students entering the building tomorrow should report to the gym first thing. There, Mrs. Conley and Mrs. Cates will meet you to provide a socially distant tour of the building, a review of the Co-vid safety protocols and to answer any questions your child may have. We will also have schedules available.
SCHOOL ISSUED COMPUTERS & SUPPLIES
Please have your child bring their school issued computer to school tomorrow. Students are able to carry a backpack and water bottle (although this is not necessary).
All students must wear masks.
TRANSPORTATION
BUS RIDERS
You should have already filled out this form to arrange the bus to pick up returning students. If you need to arrange transportation please fill out the form and call the transportation office tomorrow at extension 1020.
CAR RIDERS
If you plan to drop off or pick up your student tomorrow, the best way to do that tomorrow is to enter the Junior High parking lot from Wolff Road and enter the drop off line driving East.
Doors open at 7:15
During pick up, you may park in a space in the front lot and your student will find you when the bell rings at 2:15.
FACE TO FACE STUDENTS
WE ARE IN PERSON
It is business as usual tomorrow!
A few students may have schedule changes and we will communicate those tomorrow. Students should still report to classes as normal tomorrow.
SCHEDULES
We have been able to do a few favorable things in our building for second semester which could result in minor schedule changes to your child's schedule.
NO TEACHER CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE.
Study Halls and Lunch Periods remain the same.
Some of the changes were a result of accommodating more social distancing in classrooms and 7th grade Band returning.
Students will get their schedules on January 4, 2020 or can log into Progressbook to see their schedules for Quarter 3 after the first of the year.
VLA STUDENTS
BOOK PICK UP
8th grade VLA students will need their Math workbook for second semester. This should be a simple pick up. The workbook is your student's to keep.
7th grade VLA students will need to drop off or pick up their Health Book. Your name will need to be checked off a list for this. Team Onward and Upward (Crabtree/Brimmer) will drop off Health Books and Team Resilience (Simak/Logan) will pick up Health Books.
BOOK DROP OFF & PICK UP
Please come into the lobby of the building where we will sign books in and out. Social Distancing will still be in place, wear a mask. We will try to be as quick as possible.

January 6th 6:30am - 9:30am
If you would like to send one neighbor for several students, we can make that happen.
