AP Summer Seminar

Start each lesson by taking the Flip Notes.  

• Click on the link for the Flip Notes and Make a Copy  of the Google Document

• Use the link provided to the "Heimler's History" video for each AP US History (APUSH) lesson.  Follow along with the video and complete Part 1 of the Flip Notes.  Once you have finished, complete Parts 2,3, and 4 using what you learned from the video. 

  • • If a link is broken or does not work, you can search for the video on YouTube by "APUSH + the lesson number". For example, "APUSH 2.3" 

Complete the Content Practicum.  

• Click on the link for the Content Practicum and Make a Copy  of the Google Slides

• Each slide has activities for you to complete to perfect your knowledge in the lesson.  Make sure you read the directions for each activity carefully.  

• Use the activites to supplement your Flip Notes.  If you learned something new by completing the activity, make sure to add it to Part 1 of your Flip Notes.

Complete the Skills Practicum.  

• Click on the link for the Skills Practicum and Make a Copy  of the Google Slides

• Each slide has activities for you to complete to perfect your writing skills.  Make sure you read the directions for each activity carefully.  

• Look for the screenshot icon for slides to paste into your Flip Notes in the appropriate location. 

Complete the End of Lesson (EOL) Quesiton.  

• After the first lesson, click on the link for the End of Lesson Questions and Make a Copy  of the Google Slides

• Respond to the question for the lesson you just completed.  

• There is one "Big Picture" question to complete at the end of all the lessons.

Submit your work to Google Classroom.  

• Check to make sure you have pasted the designated slides from the Practicums into your Flip Notes. 

• Go to Google Classroom and submit your Flip Notes in number order to the assignment posted. 

  • • For Lesson 1.2, there will be a separate assignment for Flip Notes just so I can check your formatting and give you any notes before you continue on to the rest of the lessons. 

• At the end of the unit, submit your End of Lesson Questions to the assignment.  This should be the final item submitted. 

• Important Note: In APUSH, teachers do not accept ANY late work without prior consent from the teacher.  We will follow the same guideline this summer.  Work submitted after a deadline without prior consent will not be scored.
