and join the adventure!
Here are the easy steps to follow to audition for the show!
First, practice with the audition cuttings. You do not need to memorize these, but use them to prepare your reading.
Second, practice with the audition choreography and vocals
Third, pick up an audition card from Dr. Hentze (B214) or Ms Mims (B332) or at auditions
Finally, show up on audition day ready to give your very best! Remember- Everyone has a place in the jungle!
Choose one of the short scenes below to read at auditions.
You do not need to memorize the script — just bring energy, personality, and clear speaking!
Each cutting includes simple stage directions and features some of our main characters — Alex, Marty, Gloria, and King Julien.
💡 Tip: Practice reading your lines out loud with a friend or family member so you can react naturally to what’s happening in the scene.

Everyone will sing “I Like to Move It” together at auditions — so make sure you know the words and melody!
In addition, choose one song from the list below to perform a cappella (without accompaniment).
Each option includes sheet music and a vocal guide track with lyrics to help you learn your part.
You don’t need to sound perfect — we’re looking for confidence, clear diction, and character!
💡 Tip: Smile while you sing — it actually changes your tone and helps your energy come through!

Everyone will perform “I Like to Move It” with choreography as part of the audition.
You’ll learn the routine by watching the choreography video — practice it until you can move confidently and smile the whole time! During auditions, you’ll perform the dance while singing the song.
💡 Tip: The choreography doesn’t have to be perfect — we’re looking for energy, effort, and expression. Show us that you’re having fun!
