VCE VM
* Vocational Major *
At BSSC, the VCE Vocational Major (VM) as a pathway option focused on vocational and applied learning. This is a great pathway option for students considering an apprenticeship, traineeship, further education / training, or the workforce. It's also a pathway into non-ATAR university entry.
At BSSC, within the VCE-VM program, students have less flexibility but can still choice in their pathway direction. They must complete a compulsory set of core subjects, along with a selection of 'choice' subjects to complete their program (including any VET subjects)
To successfully achieve your VCE VM, you must:
Satisfactorily complete 16 units within your program, including
3 VCE-VM Literacy or VCE English units (including a Unit 3/4 sequence within this)
3 VCE-VM Numeracy or VCE Mathematics units
2 VCE-VM Work Related Skills units
2 VCE-VM Personal Development Skills units
2 VET subject credits (Cert II level or above) - see below

VET (Vocational Education and Training) subjects can be a fantastic inclusion into your VCE program, giving you the opportunity to develop industry-specific knowledge and skills, as well as general skills needed for employment, training, and further education.
VET gives you practical skills relevant to your many talents, and helps you work towards a formal VET certificate. This can range from Health Support Services to Building and Construction.
