Mary Jane Dockeray Science Scholarship - $2500

We are pleased to announce the Mary Jane Dockeray Scholarship sponsored by the Regional Math and Science Center at Grand Valley State University. This is a named scholarship in honor of Mary Jane Dockeray, founding curator of the Blandford Nature Center in Grand Rapids.

This year, two $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors who plan to pursue a career in science. Applicants must be seniors from public or private schools within the Kent, Ottawa, or Muskegon Intermediate School Districts. The recipients are selected on the basis of academic achievements and potential for succeeding in a career in science. Financial need is not a factor in the selection process. In April, recipients will be notified by phone and non-recipients will be notified by U.S. mail.

Scholarship Amount: The scholarship of $1,500 is to be applied toward tuition, fees, or other educational costs at a two or four-year college or university.

Eligibility: Any graduating senior from a high school within the Kent, Ottawa, or Muskegon Area Intermediate School Districts who is pursuing a career in science at a two or four-year college or university is eligible to apply.
