Holland Police-Community Relations ScholarshipS

The Holland Police Department's Police-Community Relations Committee has TWO scholarships available for student in the Holland area.

One is the Perseverance Scholarship for a student who has "demonstrated a strong ability to overcome adversity while pursuing higher education." This award is a one-time scholarship in the amount of $2000.

"Students who have overcome spiritual, physical, mental, environmental or financial difficulties in their lives - regardless of GPA - are strongly encouraged to apply, share their story, and include future goals."


The second scholarship is the Criminal Justice Scholarship for area students who are currently enrolled or are enrolling in a post-secondary Criminal Justice program or track. In keeping with the purpose of the Commission, the group is committed to encouraging and assisting students desiring to become law enforcement officers. The scholarship will be awarded annually in the spring to one individual who reflects the highest potential for law enforcement. This is also a non-renewable scholarship in the amount of $2000.
