Junior School

We are delighted to announce the return of the Junior School Talent show. This is a brilliant opportunity for our students in Grades 1-5 to show their talents to a live audience.

We welcome ALL talents - musicians, rock bands, singers, actors, dancers, jugglers, martial arts, gymnasts... anything that can be performed live is welcome. Be creative!

Students can audition individually or in a group. 

Groups can be made up of ANY grade level. There is no maximum group size.

Your audition video and performance should be 3-4 minutes long (solo) or 3-5 minutes long (groups)

We will shortlist around 20 acts. There will be 8 acts in the final

STEP 1: Video audition. Use the google form link below to submit a video of your act. This video must be the same as what you will perform in the final show. You will be able to submit your video between November 14th and January 7th so there is lots of time to practise!

STEP 2: Live audition. Some performers will be invited to live auditions. In this audition you will perform the SAME thing you performed in the video audition but you will perform live to our audition panel. You can wear a costume if you would like.

STEP 3: Finalists. If you are chosen to be in the live final you will be contacted via email and your homeroom teacher.

Practise practise practise!

Our panel of judges will be looking for groups and soloists who have practised a lot. They will be confident in their performance and know exactly what they are doing!

Perform!

Our panel of judges are looking for a performance! This means students who are confident, who make eye contact with the camera (when they can!) and who have thought about all elements of the performance including costumes, music, use of space and any thing else that will make a performance look more professional!

Solo Performers

For solo performers we are looking for people who are a very high level in their chosen talent. It should be a talent that you would be able to perform on stage - sorry horse riders and ice skaters!

Get Creative in groups

Our judges will also be looking for interesting  group talents - for example, if you play the piano, why not team up with a singer to make a duo or, if you play the violin, find some others who can make a string quartet! Dancers could form a K-pop group or singers can join a band.

Q: Can I audition with students in other grades?

A: Yes! as long as you are all at BHA this is fine :)

Q: Can I submit more than one audition video?

A: Yes, you can submit as many audition videos as you like but only ONE PER TALENT. For example:

✅ You could submit one video of you dancing in a K-Pop group and another video of you playing the violin.

❎ You cannot submit two videos of you doing different performances on the violin.

Q: Is there a chance I could get a live audition with two different talents?

A: YES! but you will NOT be in the final with two different talents. The judges will consider both performances equally.

Q: I made a mistake on the application form.

A: You are able to edit your response.
