Sign up for one of the 5-minute audition times by going to the google sign up form (at the bottom of this page!)
GET READY!
Choose a song from the list below. It is your choice, but there are also some suggestions below.
Note the specific part of the song that is called for. We will only play the PERFORMANCE TRACK of that part in auditions.
At home, practice your song with the guided vocals first, and then without the guided vocals: Prepare to sing over the PERFORMANCE TRACK for your audition.
AUDITION!
Arrive at your audition in the Recital Hall (Junior School music room in the PAC) 10 minutes early. Be sure you have warmed up your voice.
When you are called in, enter the room and introduce yourself confidently. Tell us which part you are auditioning for and which song you will sing.
When you hear the music start, listen for your entrance, and begin singing in character!
We will say “Thank you!” so you know it is ok to go.
This audition packet contains lots of information about the show and characters as well as the MUSIC for the audition songs. Please read it carefully!
CASTING NOTE
All roles in Trolls Jr. are open to all students. Characters may be cast regardless of gender. We are looking for the performers who best match each role’s vocal requirements, acting style, and stage presence.
Students should indicate the roles they are interested in, but auditioning for a specific role does not guarantee that role. The directing team will consider each student for any role that may be a good fit based on their audition.
The lyrics and sheet music for each song can be found in the AUDITION PACKET above
Please note that some students may be asked to attend a callback on Thursday 27th August in the Recital Hall. This is NOT an indication of parts allocated and some students who are given a principal role may not be asked to callbacks.
Callbacks are simply an opportunity to see a little more of students that we don't know as well or allow us to inquire into different groups of characters and how they work together. Students attending callbacks do not need to prepare anything additional.
ALL ROLES WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON FRIDAY 28th AUGUST at 4pm
