Robotics, Machines, and Building
In STEM you explore many opportunities to help your ability in building.
Building: One of the first projects you will get once you join STEM is building a bridge. This is a good way to start off the year because you'll spend a good time brainstorming and building using a variety of materials. After your work is done, with a group you'll put weights on the bridge to see how strong your bridge actually is!
Robotics: At first, when you start building the robot it may seem challenging because of all the small pieces and puzzling instructions, but after the first few steps, you'll start to feel more confident and sooner or later, you'll have your own functioning robot!
Machine: In STEM you'll have the chance to create your own 5-step Rube Goldberg Machine! You might be wondering, what is a Rube-Goldberg Machine? A Rube Goldberg machine consists of complicated steps to complete a simple task. First, you and a group will brainstorm all the steps needed to perform a simple task, and when you're ready you'll start building and eventually through series of trail and error, your machine will work!
