What is Orchestra?
Orchestra is an elective class that consists of 4 instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, and Double Bass. Orchestra is the perfect class if you want to learn and expand your musical knowledge.
What do we offer?
Orchestra has two different classes, a 6th-grade class, and a 7/8th Grade class, which is more advanced. These classes are considerable if you want to continue your musical career throughout middle school, high school, and maybe later on in life. Our amazing teacher, Mr. Chan, who also teaches the Sierra Vista High School Orchestra, helps and makes sure that you understand every part of the music and acknowledges questions. When all put together, they play together, harmoniously producing music.
Experience
Eran Nguyen, 8th Grade: "Being in my first year in an orchestra I've had a lot of fun experiences like going to the SCSBOA festival and having my first performance. Even though it was my first time ever playing an instrument, I've learned many things that seemed impossible to learn when I started. My classmates and teacher motivate me to want to continue. I am now going to high school and am excited to develop my skills further!"
Kirby Chu, 8th Grade: "In my year of Orchestra in 8th grade, I love to play with other people instead of just me practicing. The whole Orchestra group is so fun to play with, and Mr. Chan is a great teacher. I hope to play again next year!!!"
