Technology Readiness Level

Audit  Report Presentation

TRL Audit Report Presentation entails the discussion regarding recently reviewed researches of the university and its technology readiness level audit report to relevant offices such as TETO, REDO and ETSO. The presentation details the maturity of the technologies from completed researches and its recommended pathways that include but is not limited to extension, policymaking, scale up, and commercialization.

The unit collects abstracts and supporting documents of completed research projects that have undergone the university’s in-house review and evaluates them individually to determine their Technology Readiness Level (TRL). Each technology must satisfy specific questions and requirements at each level to assess its actual maturity. The TRL audit used for the university's research projects is based on NASA's original TRL framework.

In the audit, a report is presented where the researches’ title, author/s, domain, TRL, recommended pathways, and remarks are indicated.

The details of the audit are presented are discussed to present representatives for future or immediate action and utilization.

Technology Demonstration

Technology Demonstration showcases the university’s select research-based technologies where a one-day program is conducted. The technologies are used and demonstrated in witness of its potential clients, beneficiaries or adoptees.

Technologies are selected by the unit to demonstrate. After ensuring the technology/ies’ capability to work and be transferred or commercialized, its potential clients, beneficiaries or adoptees are shortlisted and invited to attend the technology demonstration.

The technology demonstration is conducted with the presence of experts, and can include professional talks and discussions with invited guest speakers or researchers with experience with the working technology.

In case of adoptee search, it is usually selected from the invited beneficiaries. The adoptee is determined depending on the capability and willingness of the potential adoptee to house and utilize the technology.
