Ms. Lizette B. Tapang is an Instructor at Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU), where she serves as the Chairperson for the Technology Entrepreneurship and Transfer Office at the Orani Campus. She holds a Master of Science in Fisheries from Pangasinan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, major in Zoology, from Central Luzon State University.
As a faculty member, she specializes in areas such as Biology, Zoology, Aquaculture, and Fisheries Extension. Ms. Tapang is also actively involved in research and community-driven projects. She is the Project Leader for the Expansion of the Bataan Peninsula State University Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubator (BPSU-ATBI) through the Establishment of a Women-Centric Agri-Tech Startup Incubation Program and the Conservation and Rehabilitation of Mangrove and Aquatic Resources: Niche for Growth and Alternative Livelihood Program (MANGAL). Additionally, she leads studies on fish processing methods and production practices of fish processors in Bataan.
Ms. Tapang is committed to the advancement of sustainable practices in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors and has been an active adviser for the Ichthus Society within BPSU’s Institute of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences. Her work continues to promote innovation and support the growth of agri-tech and aquaculture industries in the region.
